We are a rugby league club based in Osaka Japan. We play rugby league, touch rugby, tag rugby and a bit of rugby union. We were founded in 2013 and have been going strong since. Anybody is welcome to join
関西雷は2013年から活動をはじめた、大阪を拠点にしているラグビーリーグ(13人制)のチームです。他にもタッチラグビー、タグラグビーにも参加しています。 経験は問わずどなたでも参加いただけます。マネージャーも募集中。ご興味あればメッセージください。
Our History
We were founded in 2013, as a team who would play a bit of Rugby league and try to organize local tournaments as rugby league in Japan was largely a Tokyo based sport. We ran a 7s tournament in 2013, and a full fledged 9s tournament in 2014. It was in 2015 where we played our first full fledged Rugby League Game, a 56-20 Loss to the Nagoya Barbarians. In 2016 we got our revenge winning 38-30. With Nagoya collapsing after our game, we started to play a team called West Mix (Now Kamisenryu) and have continued to play them in the west division of Rugby League Japan. The 2022 Season was our best season to date with us being national champions.
日本でのラグビーリーグ(13人制)の試合はこれまで主に東京で行われておりました。しかし関西でもプレーしたいというメンバーが集まり2013年から活動を行ってまいりました。 2013年は7s、2014年は9sの試合、徐々に参加してもらえるメンバーが増え2015年に初めて13人制の試合が行えたのです。 試合は関西雷vs名古屋バーバリアンズ。結果は20-56でした。2016年には再度名古屋バーバリアンズとの対決で38-30で勝利することができました。 その後名古屋バーバリアンズは人数不足のため解散。代わって混成チームのWestMixを経て設立された亀仙流と関西雷の2チームで関西のラグビーリーグを盛り上げてます。2022シーズンはナショナルチャンピオンとなり、これまでで最高のシーズンとなりました。

Rugby league football, commonly known as just rugby league or simply league, rugby, football, or footy, is a full-contact sport played by two teams of thirteen players on a rugby pitch. We play in the Japanese Rugby League competition and are situated in the West Division. The winner of which plays the winner of the East Division for the title of National Champs.
ラグビーリーグは、フルコンタクトスポーツの一種である。1チーム13名ずつの2チームが、ラグビーのフィールド上で競技をします。関西雷は日本のラグビーリーグ大会に出場し、西部に位置しています。その勝者は、ナショナルチャンピオンのために東部の勝者を演じます
Tag Rugby
タグラグビー
Tag rugby, or flag rugby, is a non-contact team game in which each player wears a belt that has two velcro tags attached to it, or shorts with velcro patches. The mode of play is based on rugby league with many similarities to touch football.
We play the 1st, 3rd, 5th Sundays of the month.
タグラグビーは、ラグビーリーグを基にした、主に年少者/初心者向けの球技の一つ。 イギリスで、アメリカンフットボールを基にしたフラッグフットボールをヒントに考案されたとされる。枚方市に第１，３，５の日曜日をやっています。
Touch Rugby

Touch rugby refers to games derived from rugby football in which players do not tackle each other but instead touch their opponents using their hands on any part of the body, clothing, or the ball.

.ラグビーで用いられるタックルを安全な「タッチ」に置き換えたスポーツ、それが「タッチラグビー」です。子どもからシニアまで男女問わず楽しむことができ、「誰でも一緒にプレーできる親しみやすさ」が魅力のひとつ。4月と11月にトーナメントを開催しています。
